RIO FERDINAND ASAINI MKATABA WA MWAKA 1 MANCHESTER UNITED

Mchezaji mkongwe wa Manchester United Rio Ferdinand ametia saini mkataba wa mwaka mmoja hivyo kusalia katika klabu hiyo kwa mwaka mmoja zaidi. Shughuli hiyo iliyoidhinishwa na Meneja mpya David Moyes - imehitimisha wasiwasi ulikokuwepo kuhusu uwezekano wa mchezaji huyo mwenye umri wa miaka 34 kutundika viatu vyake.
Hivi majuzi Ferdinand alitangaza kustaafu kutoka timu ya taifa akidai alikuwa anataka kutumia muda wake mwingi kushughulikia timu yake ,Manchester United.
Ferdinand amesema: "nimefurahi. Imekuwa ni safari ya kufurahisha sana na natumai itaendelea kuwa hivyo."


Wakati akitangaza kuondoka kwake kama meneja wa Manchester United,Sir Alex Ferguson alisema Ferdinand amekuwa na wakati mzuri sana katika klabu hiyo na ataongezewa kandarasi.
Katika msimu uliomalizika mchezaji huo wa safu ya nyuma ameichezea Mashetani wekundu mara 34 kati ya mwaka 2012-13, hii ikijumuisha mechi 28 katika mechi za Ligi kuu ya Uingereza.
Ferdinand amesema : "nani hataki kukichezea klabu hiki tena mbele ya mashabiki 76,000 kila wiki?

"sasa naweza kujikita zaidi katika klabu yangu ambayo imeniweka vyema sana katika ile miaka ambayo nimekichezea.

Kijumla Rio Ferdinand ameichezea Manchester United mara 432 na kushinda kombe la klabu bingwa bara ulaya mara moja na taji sita za ligi kuu ya Uingereza.
