KAKOLA FC CHAMPIONS OF THE BARRICK BULYANHULU SPORTS BONANZA

 




Kakola FC has won the Mahusiano Sports Bonanza Cup after beating Ng'wasabukamabo 3-0 in the final and taking home the trophy along with various prizes.

The fiercely competitive final match was played at the Kakola Primary School grounds, Msalala District Council and was attended by many spectators including various government leaders and employees of the Barrick Bulyanhulu Gold Mine which organized and sponsored the competition.

The official guest was the Kahama District Commissioner, Frank Nkinda, accompanied by the Representative of the General Manager of Barrick Bulyanhulu Mine, Chrispin Ngwaji. who, apart from presenting the winning trophy to Kakola FC, also presented various gifts including cows.

In the final game, which was witnessed by hundreds of football fans, they seemed to enjoy the final as both teams used speed, tactics and intelligence during the game.

Speaking after the match , Kahama District Commissioner Frank Nkinda, thanks Barrick Bulyanhulu Mine  By organizing the Bonanza, which has enabled young people to have the opportunity to showcase their talents to the community and various sports stakeholders, the competition has also become a platform for building good relationships between the mine and the surrounding community.

And the acting  Barrick Bulyanhulu Mine General Manager Chrispin Ngwaji said the Bonanza involved  16 teams from 3 districts of Bugarama, Bulyanhulu and Mwingiro and apart from prizes for the team that emerged as the champion  Each participating team was given a jersey as a gift.  and a ball.

He said Barrick Bulyanhulu Mine will continue to organize such bonanzas in support of the Government's efforts to improve the various sports sectors in the country and promote youth talent.

The Relationship Cup competition was launched on June 14, this year and was organized and sponsored by the Mine of Barrick Bulyanhulu has a slogan that says "Unity and Happiness for the Bulyanhulu community, play football and build relationships" and aims to promote good relations between the mine and the community surrounding the mine.

In addition, the competition has helped increase awareness of the various opportunities available at the mine and for citizens to understand the various social projects implemented by the mine in their areas to bring them development.
